The collected materials will be sold at discounted prices to the public for use by teachers, crafters, artists, students, and others in the community for creative and utilitarian purposes. Upsy Daisy can provide a home for difficult-to-recycle materials, such as wood/metal furniture, glass, textiles, plastics, crayons, etc., that can be used for creative reuse/repurpose. In addition to selling the donated materials, we will use the materials to offer workshops, craft kits, educational lesson plans, and renewed/repurposed items for sale.

Reuse means finding new ways to use things that otherwise would have been thrown out. Creative reuse (also known as upcycling or repurposing) transforms by-products, waste materials, and useless or unwanted products into new materials or products that are more valuable or of higher quality. The benefits of creative reuse are multifaceted. The environmental benefits of upcycling are mammoth; aside from minimizing the volume of discarded materials and waste being sent to landfills each year, it also reduces the need for production using new or raw materials, which leads to a reduction in air pollution, water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions and often conservation of global resources. Social, economic, and personal benefits exist from creatively reusing materials.
